Thoracic Mobility & Backbends
Our goal in this is to find greater range of motion in the thoracic spine for more freedom in backbends, less pain and compensation in the low back, and easier movement in your every day activity. We'll start off with a little chat about the anatomy of the spine, then dive into some fun drills you can do ANYTIME (without warm-up or a formal yoga class) to help maintain your mobility. After those we'll move through a flow that pulls it all together.
Functional Yoga for "Tight" Hips Pt 2
Taking Part 1 even further, we'll cover exactly what we mean when we talk about the hip in yoga, what we mean when we say "hip openers," & give you a general overview of the hip anatomy. Then we'll move into a nice long flow focused on hip opening poses-- some you'll expect and others you wouldn't -- so the body is receptive for more advanced hip opening poses like the splits & others.
