  • Architecture of Flow

    Over the years I've been teaching, one of the most common topics people want help with is building their own flow. When you want to do yoga but don't necessarily want to follow a video (or can't because you don't have internet access), the perfect solution is creating your own flow. But what if you don't know where to start? What should be included? What order is most important? How do you know how much time it takes? How long should you hold poses?! The questions are endless, and rightfully so-- this is a HUGE topic to cover! This workshop will address all these questions and so many more. You'll walk away with a reusable template that'll serve as a Yoga Flow Class Builder for those times you want to go your own way.   • Strength Training Foundations

    If you have an at-home strength training habit or you're trying to build one, it can be intimidating. Especially if you've been doing yoga most often, starting something new is understandably challenging for lots of reasons. Where do you start? What exercises should you do? How do you know you're doing those properly? This workshop will answer all those questions and so many more. It's ideal for strength training total beginners all the way up to those who feel comfortable working out at home but could use some more insight into the mechanics of foundational exercises. The first half of this workshop is a sit-down lecture style class. I give you a picture of what strength training actually means (and what it doesn't), our basic movement patterns, and the five exercise categories. We'll debunk myths and I answer the most common questions. The second half of this workshop is all about exercises! We'll break down the ones almost everyone should be doing regardless of level and experience. I'll show you exactly how to do them safely, effectively, and how to accommodate for injury or limitation, as well as how to make all of them more challenging to meet you wherever you are. This one is FULL of information and you'll leave feeling confident and inspired to keep feeding this part of your personal practice. Enjoy!
